What is Title I?
Title I is the largest federal assistance program for our nation’s schools.
John A. Crookshank Elementary is a Title I school. That means that we work to
Identify the students most in need of additional educational help,
Set goals for improvement,
Measure student progress,
Develop programs that add to regular class instruction,
Involve parents in all aspects of the program.
Title I teachers like Mrs. Marziani work closely with classroom teachers and staff members to do what is best for each child.
Parent involvement helps Title I programs to succeed.
Please participate by:
attending school events
meeting with your student’s classroom teacher
joining the PTA
volunteering to help at school
